People and culture
Teaching sewing has become one of the most rewarding parts of CDH. Our classes give students a safe and joyful space to learn patience, explore their creative voice, and bring their ideas to life.
In addition, CDH offers job opportunities to bring creatives together, giving them valuable experience, fostering collaboration, and helping them continue building their skills. Our people and culture are at the heart of everything we do, making CDH a place where creativity, learning, and community flourish.
How we inspire and support
At Costume Design House, creativity thrives. We offer costume and sewing classes for all skill levels, including pattern-making, prop-making, and more. Our classes provide a supportive and inspiring environment where students can explore their creativity, develop sewing skills, and express themselves through hands-on projects.
Whether you’re crafting a unique costume or simply exploring your artistic side, CDH provides guidance, resources, and encouragement every step of the way.
To build a creative community where sewing, costume design, and imaginative expression are accessible to everyone, nurturing skill, confidence, and meaningful connection through artistry.
“Creativity is contagious — pass it on.” — Albert Einstein

Lea
Founder / DESIGNER
Lea began her creative journey as a cosplayer, teaching herself how to sew and craft costumes as a teenager. Her passion for design led her to pursue formal training, earning her education in Fashion Design and Merchandising. She later became a member of IATSE Local 705 as a Motion Picture Costumer, gaining hands-on experience through on-set and location work in the film industry.
In addition to her industry background, Lea has worked extensively in bridal, celebrity tailoring, and fashion. She has been creating custom costumes for many years and founded Costume Design House to share her love for sewing, costuming, and creativity. Through CDH, she aims not only to inspire and teach others but also to create future opportunities for those who want to enter these creative fields.
