Frequently asked questions
Do you have a wait list?
Yes, if a class is full, we can add you on our wait list and let you know if there is an opening.
Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
Classes may be rescheduled with (3) day advance notice. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for rescheduling.
If my child is younger than 8, can they join?
Children under the age of 8 are welcome to enroll; however, they will be gently assessed during their first class to determine whether they have the patience, focus, and readiness needed to follow instructions and complete projects safely.
Do you provide refunds?
At this time, refunds are not offered, as enrollment secures a scheduled service and reserved spot. However, we are happy to reschedule your class with advance notice, subject to availability.
What should students bring to class?
All materials and sewing machines are provided unless otherwise noted. Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine, fabric, or tools if they prefer.
Do you have a grace period?
A 15-minute grace period is permitted. However, arrivals beyond this window will not be admitted, as classes must begin promptly out of consideration for other students and the structured lesson schedule.
What is your no-show policy?
Students who do not attend a scheduled class without prior notice will forfeit their session. We are unable to offer makeup classes or credits for no-shows or late arrivals beyond the grace period. Please plan accordingly to ensure you receive the full benefit of your class.
Are parents allowed to stay during class?
Due to limited space in the classroom, parents and guardians are not permitted to remain in the class during instruction. However, a designated waiting area is available if you wish to stay nearby.
What skill level is required?
No prior sewing experience is required unless specified. Classes are designed to support beginners while also allowing room for creative growth.
What happens if a class is canceled by CDH?
In the rare event that a class is canceled by CDH, students will be offered a reschedule or credit toward a future class.
If the class is not the right fit?
If it is determined that the class is not currently the right fit, we may recommend re-enrolling when your child is a little older, to ensure a more positive and successful learning experience.
What is your class size and structure?
Classes are limited to 4–5 students to maintain a focused and supportive learning environment. Please note that some classes may include students working independently on projects, with light guidance from the instructor, due to scheduling considerations.
