POSITIONS
Fashion Designer: Designers create clothing and accessories, often starting with sketches and then translating those designs into actual garments. Sewing skills are essential to bring their designs to life.
Tailor/Seamstress: Tailors and seamstresses specialize in altering, repairing, and creating garments. They work with individual clients or for clothing stores to ensure proper fitting and quality finishes.
Costume Designer: Costume designers work in theater, film, television, or other performance arts. They create costumes that align with the production's time period, setting, and character needs, often involving intricate sewing work.
Pattern Maker: Pattern makers develop templates or blueprints for clothing that manufacturers use to mass-produce garments. They interpret design sketches and create patterns that ensure proper fit and construction.
